horse program
Horses are a great family hobby and passion of ours. We take on the same approach to our horses that we do for our cattle. They need to look good and be able to work on the ranch. We also like to show them for fun!!

1996 AQHA and APHA Palamino Gelding

SIRE: Master Boot Jac
MGS: Major Bonanza
MGGS: Beau Bonanza

Wyatt shows Moonshine as an All-Around horse.  Wyatt had an outstanding year with Moonshine at the Palomino Youth World Show in Tulsa including 5 Top 5 finishes – Reining (13 & Under World Champion for the 2nd year in a row), Western Riding, Trail, English Equitation, and Ranch Trail.  They have also won several Ranch Horse Versatility competitions.

2001 AQHA Sorrel Mare

SIRE: Smart Like Juice
MGS: Okies Hard Luck (Okie Leo)
MGGS: Topsail Cody

"J.J." as she is known, has spent much of her early life competing in reining futurities and then moved on to brood mare duty. Troy and Justis found her on a horse shopping trip at a good friend, Marge Brubaker's barn. It was love at first ride!! We do not know who likes to spin, slide and stop more, J.J. or Justis, but we call them the J team. Justis won his first AQHA Youth Reining in October at the Rocktoberfest and qualified for the NRCHA World Show in Youth Limited.
In addition, they have had some excellent finishes in RHV competitions.

KR Charming Tee

2003 AQHA Gray Mare

SIRE: Tejons Peppy Doc
MGS: Playgun
MGGS: Doc O'Lena

Congratulations to Nathan Andrews for purchasing this royally bred mare for his horse program.

2004 sorrel geling

SIRE: Dry N Play by Freckles Playboy
MGS: Smart Retsina by Smart Little Lena
MGGS: Genuine Doc

Royally bred, great personality and super athletic.  He is a great little reining and working cow horse.  Wyatt finished 2nd in the nation in AQHA Youth Ranch Horse Versatility Points on Genuine Powerstroke in 2010.
They have even bigger goals set for 2011!

Blizzy

2008 Buckskin Filly

SIRE: Definitely A Dunit
(1997 Son of Hollywood Dun It x Zans Diamond Squaw) AQHA Point Earner, NRHA Money Earner

MGS: High Brow Cat
MGGS: Smart Little Lena

Blizzy is the newest addition to our horse program.  You can't write a more special pedigree.  She is just now entering training, but has a wonderful, willing attitude, and is as fancy as you can make one.  We think she will make a super ranch horse versatility prospect and all-around youth horse.

Hot Shot

2009 sorrel colt

SIRE: Lil Ruf Trouble
(NRHA Intermediate Open Futurity Finalist with Steve Schwartzenberger in 2003 by Lil Ruf Peppy)

MGS: High Brow Cat
MGGS: Smart Little Lena

Our good friend, Sheri Jaster, who sold us JJ, gifted this horse to Wyatt.  He is young, but we have high hopes for him based off his pedigree and mother.  His sire stands at Swartzenberger’s  here in Colorado and the MGS and MGGS are the #1 and #2 money earners in the NCHA.  We can’t wait until he gets old enough to chase down a cow.
